Well hun, I have to be honest, the base is really impressive. You've made a very natural looking ground style, which is quite impressive. As is the mechanical parts of the dread.
But I've got to be honest, the matt blue armour does look rather unnatural in it's plating. One way I've found to do that, which I've also done with my tanks, is to go over the edges of the armour plates with a thin line of silver. I've found that an ink pen works quite well with it. Give that a little shot and see how it looks.
What really impresses me is the fox decals. I see that some of them are based on the Space Wolf design, but the colours are quite different. Are they actually decals which you've modified, or did you paint them directly onto the model?
Overall it's really neat. Do you have any tanks you'd like to show, by the way? If you can tell me how to get a decent photo of them, I'd love to share mine with ya.

Just thought of something fox boi; The Fox decal on the lascannon arm. I think it may look better and more fitting if it was 'flipped' horizontally, so that the snout matches the angle of the plating.

Just a little thought.

Yea, I was thinking that too, but since I'm right handed, I decided that since free hand took up enough time as it did, it would be better to go for the easy option.

The armour, yes, I agree...but in the highlighting part, its not fully finished yet.
I'm not sure if silver will go, but I have tried:

A first highlight of Shadow Grey.
A second highlight over the Shadow Grey with Space Wolves Grey

Those two colours, while greys, are also really, blue hinted greys, and so when highlighting blue armour, they do come out quite nice.
However, I'm going to try with a drybrush, because the last time I tried with a normal brush the highlights came out wrong :/ mainly because GW paints aren't the best out there.

As for the fox heads, yes they are based on SW ones, and yes, they are painted on.
The blue one is the 3rd Companys Symbol...or rather one of them. Though that one is different slightly due to the colour not being a flat ice blue.
I've tried to blend it but its come out a little wrong in some areas, but it hasn't made it bad though.

You know; I would use this thing if I had any idea where the hell to put photos of finished minis o_o; so many options... I'll figure it out eventually and start putting the Grey Spectres up.

I tend to use Photography > Art Photography > Studio & Still Life, and have had no problems yet.

Fox it looks great but I have to agree with the before hand poster Marstan (I think it was) that the matte looks kinda...off other wise great piece can't wait to see more.

Well once I've done the highlights it might look a little better. But with 48% left and 7 days to do to the GT, Highlights are the least of my worries at the minute

But aye, I'll re take the picture once I make it a bit better.
